Employee benefits: Are organisations getting them right?
According to a recent survey, just 21% of workers feel that their employee benefits packages align closely with what’s important to them. That suggests that for many, most of the benefits offered by their employer are being underutilised, missed, or forgotten about.
The global working landscape has evolved dramatically over recent years. The rise in hybrid and remote working, Gen Z entering the workforce, the skills shortage, cost-of-living crisis, and more, has meant that organisations have had to adapt very quickly to changing expectations when its come to their employees.
Benefits are one element of that, which are also shifting just as working environments have changed.
More than half (55%) of 18-34 year olds identify a good employee benefits package as the most important thing to look for when searching a job. Amongst the general workforce, 42% say that employee benefits are a priority for them.
But if many workers feel the benefits they do receive don’t align closely with their needs and wants, are organisations getting their rewards packages right?
Our latest eBook, Are We Giving Employees the Benefits They Really Want?, explores this topic in depth, and offers considerations for organisations looking to implement different types of benefits that resonate with their employees.
