The edays mobile app allows employees to log requests, and managers to review requests, anywhere any time. The group calendar access makes it easy for employees to plan leave and holiday at times when they’re more likely to get it approved, and to avoid any clashes or overlaps with other team members. It also provides visibility of when others are off to assist with managing team workload.
People managers are then able to quickly review leave requests, with sight of who else may be off at the same time, allowing them to provide quick feedback and improving the employee experience.
When employees are planning holidays or time off, this is unlikely to be during working hours, so the mobile app offers them a seamless way to request this leave while they’re thinking about taking it, rather than needing to wait until they’re back at their computer.
Track and manage sickness absences
The edays system is fully customisable so your business can decide whether to allow employees to submit their own sick leave, or whether this has to be done by their line manager. Whatever configuration you choose, this will apply within the app, allowing employees or managers to log this quickly and simply.
If employees can book their own sick leave, the mobile app means they don’t need to log into their work computer while they’re unwell, reducing the risk of them being tempted to work and succumbing to presenteeism.
If managers are the ones booking their employees’ sick leave, booking through the mobile app makes it quick and easy to do so as soon as they’ve been notified that their team member is unwell.
Record overtime and request TOIL at the touch of a button
With our overtime tracking functionality, you can record all overtime worked in a couple of taps, and receive full visibility of overtime and TOIL. Overtime worked is added directly into an employee’s leave entitlement, and they can quickly book TOIL in the same way as annual leave.
Being able to log overtime on the go makes it even easier for employees to log additional hours even after the working day is done, and managers can conveniently review and approve these anywhere, any time.
Overtime data is then pulled into the reporting feature in our desktop system, which can be used in conjunction with payroll, and you can run bespoke reports on both overtime and TOIL.

Your Mobile App questions, answered
Is the mobile app automatically included with my edays subscription?
Yes, every edays subscription will automatically include access for all their employees to download and use the mobile app at no additional cost.
Can I access the edays app if I do not have an edays subscription?
If your business is not already an edays customer, then you won’t be able to use the features of the app. You will be able to download the edays app from the app store, but in order to use it you must have access to an active account and an active edays URL.
Who is the mobile app designed for?
The mobile app is designed for end users (employees) and managers. It is not designed for carrying out specific administrator tasks, such as creating or updating leave policies.
The mobile app is asking me for my unique edays business URL - where do I find this?
You can find by your unique business URL by logging into your edays account on a computer and looking at the URL bar at the top of the screen. Your URL will consist of https://uniquecompanyurl.e-days.com. Take note of what this section is between ‘https://’ and ‘.e-days.com’. This is the text you need to enter in the login screen of the edays app.
Is there functionality available through the web interface, which isn't available through the app?
Yes. In essence the app is designed with the end user in mind, whether they are an employee or a manager, for submitting and actioning leave requests. For all other functionality, which is typically used by HR professionals, such as reporting and policy updates, the browser based UI is still required.
How secure is the edays app?
The security of our customer’s data is our top priority. We are ISO 27001 certified and data is stored on the Microsoft Azure cloud platform.
