Leading absence and leave management software provider, edays, is proud to announce its new partnership with Sorwe, a digital employee experience and engagement platform.
edays, which serves more than 1,400 companies globally, is a cloud-based platform which automates absence and leave processes for medium, large and enterprise organisations.
The company joins Sorwe’s growing marketplace, to offer a streamlined absence and leave function alongside Sorwe’s own employee experience services.
With its presence in the UK, Europe and the Gulf region, Sorwe helps companies to boost employee engagement and performance. It creates an inclusive and personalised employee experience journey from mobile with extensive internal communication, feedback learning and performance features.
Jon Maddison, CEO of edays, said: “We’re delighted to begin our partnership with Sorwe. There is a synergy between our two offerings, and it’s exciting to be working together to provide HR professionals around the world with a joined-up solution that will enhance their employees’ experience.
“Sorwe has an impressive array of platform tools and features, with a strong focus on encouraging engaged, productive employees.
“At edays, we’re passionate about enabling organisations to manage the impact that absence and leave has on their operations and productivity. In the process, we help them to create a happier, healthier workforce. We’re looking forward to delivering even more value to customers through this exciting new partnership.”
With this partnership, the two software providers are aiming to reduce absenteeism and boost employee engagement. The two issues are not only intrinsically linked, but they can also lead to further issues such as turnover.
According to Gallup’s State of the Global Workplace Report 2023, lower engagement leads to higher levels of absence amongst employees worldwide. It is estimated that disengaged employees can cost a business the equivalent of 18% of their annual salary, and cause 37% higher absenteeism rates.
This results in 18% lower productivity and 15% lower profitability, so ensuring strong employee experience, engagement and absence management practices are in place is a necessity for organisations.
Emrah Erturk, the co-founder and CEO of Sorwe, said: “Our mission aligns with edays to reduce employee turnover, create ongoing engagement and a better workplace environment.
“We believe there is a direct correlation between employee experience in the workplace, their engagement levels and absenteeism. We’re excited to be able to offer a unique value for our users, who will benefit from lower absenteeism rates and higher employee engagement, with an experience that is tailored to their company culture.”
